Awards and Achievements
In the month of May, Student Life recognizes many students and student groups for their achievements over the past year. Among those were the Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards. Each Fraternity and Sorority can apply for various awards showcasing their philanthropic efforts, continued learning outside of the classroom, personal development, and growth in all areas. We provided opportunities to show how organizations and individuals connected to Rockhurst’s mission as well as their organization’s values. The Office of Student Life recruited judges from the midwest that were not affiliated with the RU Student Development team. This year, there were 6 awards to apply for which included the Magis Award, For and With Others Award, Where Leaders Learn Award, New Member of the Year, Man of the Year, and Woman of the Year. We are so thrilled with the work that our students are doing and we have listed the award winners below:
2020 Magis Award: Alpha Sigma Alpha
2020 For and With Others Award: Gamma Phi Beta
2020 Where Leaders Learn Award: Pi Kappa Alpha
2020 New Member of the Year: Oscar Knutson, member of Beta Theta Pi
