- About

At Rockhurst, we are committed to our students’ well-being, both in and out of the classroom. With that well-being in mind, Rockhurst has established a collaborative relationship with Neighborhood Walk-In and Family Care located in the North Parking Garage on the Rockhurst campus and Goppert Trinity Family Care (Goppert), located south of the University at 6675 Holmes St., third floor to provide for students’ acute and preventative health care needs. For students enrolled in the Rockhurst student health insurance plan, most services received at Neighborhood Walk-In and Family Care and Goppert are covered by the plan and paid at 100 percent with no deductible or co-payment required.
Current Health Considerations
Rockhurst University is monitoring the evolving situation regarding the continued spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, worldwide.
The waiver site iw open to waive or enroll in the Student Health Insurance plan for the spring 2021 semester.
Rockhurst University has negotiated an affordable and comprehensive health care plan for our students and their dependents. We will be partnering once again with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City as our insurance carrier for the upcoming academic year. Full-time undergraduate (12 hours or more) or full-time graduate (9 hours or more) students are automatically enrolled in this program unless they waive the requirement through our web-based enrollment/waiver system by the established deadline of August 28 2020, for the fall semester and January 29, 2021, for the spring/summer. Enrollment in the University-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is mandatory for all full-time undergraduate (12 credit hours or more), graduate (9 credit hours or more). Exceptions include full-time graduate students in the MBA, Data Analytics and Organizational Leadership program, part-time, accelerated option, Executive MBA, DO/MBA, MBA/PHY, AA/AS, RN to BSN, MSN, Ed.D and post-baccalaureate student who all may voluntarily enroll in this program. Dependents of full-time students may also be eligible for enrollment in the plan. For further information, please visit Student Insurance.
Students must actively attend classes and remain enrolled with Rockhurst for the first 31 days of each term to be eligible for coverage.
