Student Development:
Changed Lives, Changing Lives

Welcome to Student Development and Athletics! Whether you are a student, parent/family member, or a faculty or staff member, I hope you will find our department’s website a valuable resource regarding the “out of class” experience at Rockhurst. As our students seek to become “men and women for and with others," there is an abundant array of opportunities sponsored by our department to learn, lead, and serve – from here on campus to other parts of the world! Stay up to date on recent happenings by visiting the University calendar and regularly checking your Rockhurst email. Please don’t hesitate to stop by or contact our offices in the lower level of Massman Hall (student development) and the Convocation Center (athletics) should you have any questions or concerns that we can address!

Matthew D. Quick, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Development and Athletics
Student Development/Athletics

As part of the Student Development Team, the Associate Dean of Students acts as a liaison for parents and families and provides them University information in regard to events, activities, and operations. Additionally, the Associate Dean of Students, as chair of the Behavioral Intervention Team, manages the University crisis team and outlines supportive measures for students in need.  Compliance is another key subject that falls within the Associate Dean for Students and Families area of responsibility.  Links to required Title IX trainings are sent to first-time Rockhurst students with the Associate Dean monitoring completion and follow-up with students.
