Attend or schedule a Rock Talk to go over your financial aid award.

Scholarship and Financial Aid Award Acceptance
Accept your scholarships and financial aid awards in coordination with the Financial Aid Office. Tuition and fee bills will be mailed in July and payment plans set up or bills are due August 11, 2022. Please be sure to have a payment plan set up or tuition and fees paid by that time to avoid a $150 late fee and potentially being dropped from classes.

It’s that time. Order your college books for the upcoming semester from the Rockhurst Campus Bookstore.

June 21 – August 26: Health Insurance Enrollment or Waiver
All full-time undergraduate students (12 hours or more) and graduate students (9 hours or more) are required to enroll in our comprehensive health care plan unless proof of current health insurance coverage is given to Health Services by the waiver deadline. Complete the Health Insurance Waiver process if you already have your own health insurance coverage. Need more information? Visit rockhurst.edu/healthinsurance.
Fill Out the Student Immunization Information
Rockhurst University requires ALL new students to complete the TB questionnaire and all residential students to provide proof of two MMR vaccines and a meningitis vaccine. Submit your immunizations and complete the TB questionnaire at rockhurst.edu/healthinsurance. Details are available here.
Contact your Roommate
If you are living on campus, reach out and get to know your roommate. Room and roommate assignments are sent no later than mid-July.
Start Packing
Get packed and prepared for Move-in Day. Mark everything with your name and room number. Additional information can be found here.
Consent to Conduct Business Online & Financial Responsibilities Approval
New this year: Undergraduates must complete a process to confirm consent to conduct business online, as well as obtain financial responsibilities approval. Full information and procedures will be released shortly.
Student Loan Counseling & Acceptance Process
Complete the student loan counseling and acceptance process. Information was sent from the Financial Aid Office over the summer. For more information, contact Financial Aid.
Reserved Parking – Hawks Fans Only
Not really, but for security reasons you do need a permit to park on campus. Register your vehicle online or opt into parking at rockhurst.edu/parking. You can complete the parking permit form there and pick up your pass at orientation.
Personal Property Insurance
Although we certainly don’t expect any incidents, students living on campus are responsible for protecting their personal property and making sure it is properly maintained. The University is not responsible or liable for the loss, theft or damage of property maintained by the student. You may wish to obtain personal property insurance. This is recommended, but not mandatory. We work with NSSI to help provide affordable property insurance if you are interested. See the National Student Services, Inc. website for details.
Get Involved!
Start thinking about which student organizations you’re interested in.
Review our Student Consumer Information
The Higher Education Act of 2008 (HEOA) requires that postsecondary institutions participating in federal student aid programs disclose information from various administrative areas to students. The following information is disclosed by Rockhurst University in compliance with federal law.
By September 15: Complete Online Courses
All first-year students must complete the new student online courses, Get Inclusive, Voices for change before September 15. To be entered into a drawing for one of three $100 gift certificates complete the course by August 15. Students not completing the courses September 15 are subject to a $50 fine. Students who have still not completed the course by September 30th will have a hold on their account in addition to the $50 fine and will not be allowed to register for Spring 2023 classes until the course is complete. The “Get Inclusive” button on the portal (my.rockhurst.edu) is how you can access the course and instructions will be emailed to you in June.
New Student Orientation & Move-in
Since your classes are squared away over the summer, the second part of orientation at RU is about building connections, learning about resources and opportunities, and kicking off an outstanding first year at Rockhurst! Orientation (and on-campus Move-in Day) starts the Thursday before the first day of classes. More information about new student orientation (and hotels if needed) is available at rockhurst.edu/orientation and sent throughout the summer to new students who have paid their deposit.
