How to Apply to RU
Submit your online application for admission to Rockhurst University:
Note: The Common Application may be used by both freshmen and transfer students.
Send In Your Official Transcripts
There are three ways to submit your high school transcripts:
- Have your school counselor send us your transcripts via Parchment, Naviance, Scoir, slate.org, or other electronic method
- Your school counselor may email it to admission@rockhurst.edu
- As a student, you may send your transcripts to your Rockhurst admission counselor or upload them as an unofficial transcript in your applicant portal. Unofficial transcripts can be used to make an admission decision, but official transcripts must be provided upon enrollment.
Additionally, if you have earned AP/IB credit OR dual credit from a college/university while in high school, you will need to request those transcripts to be sent to Rockhurst University to receive the appropriate credit.
Standardized Testing Guidelines
Rockhurst University offers a standardized-test-optional admission process for all undergraduate programs — applicants may submit standardized test scores from ACT or SAT, but those who choose not to will not be disadvantaged in any way in the admission process. If multiple test results are sent, Rockhurst does superscore.
There are three ways to submit your test scores.

Students who are citizens of a primarily English-speaking country, or have completed their entire high school curriculum in English, are not required to submit a standardized test score as proof of English language proficiency. Please contact your admission counselor if you have any questions.
Note: Because the Rockhurst University mission and values encourage the pursuit of academic inquiry, service and social justice, applicants and admitted students will not be penalized as the result of any disciplinary action by their high school resulting from lawful, peaceful protests organized to make a stand regarding critical societal issues.
