Financial Aid & Student Loans

The first step is to apply for admission to Rockhurst University. Academic merit scholarships are automatically awarded based on your academic history. To be considered for additional types of financial aid, file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  • Rockhurst's priority FAFSA date for maximum aid potential is February 1.
  • Rockhurst’s Federal School Code (used to send the FAFSA to us) is 002499.

Scholarships

Rockhurst awards more than $30 million in scholarships and financial aid each year. Explore undergraduate and transfer scholarship opportunities here:

Merit-based scholarships are awarded pending verification of official documentation and qualifications. The information provided by the calculator is not a guarantee of financial aid. *The last ACT exam date for scholarship upgrade eligibility is the February exam of your senior year.

Also, keep in mind that you can receive more than one scholarship, but never both competitive and academic scholarships. And the total institutional award from RU cannot exceed the cost of tuition.

Costs

Calculate your estimated costs below:

To use the net price calculator, you must first estimate the total dollars you might receive in both scholarships and financial aid. The net price tool starts by showing you the estimated cost of attendance, including tuition, fees, room and board, books and other estimated costs. From there, the calculator will take any estimated scholarship dollars and financial assistance. That's how you'll get an estimate (not official cost) of what you can expect to pay for the upcoming school year.

Note: While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the Net Price Calculator, please keep in mind that this estimate does not represent a final determination or actual award of financial assistance. It shall not be binding on the Secretary or Education, Rockhurst University, or the State, and may change. You must complete the FASA in order to be eligible for, and receive, an actual financial aid award that includes a federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance under Title IV.
