Choosing a college is perhaps the first major life decision a person makes. Where they choose to continue their education sparks not only their professional career, but has a huge impact on who they are as a person, and often introduces them to their lasting friends – and in some cases – a lifelong partner or spouse. No pressure.
At Rockhurst, our freshmen always live on campus, but many older students choose to stick around too. It’s easy to see why, too!
One of the primary beliefs at Rockhurst is that we are a community that is FOR and WITH others. We serve our community and beyond, but as people, or companions, who are with fellow companions on the journey through life.
We believe in diversity, equity and inclusion and will do our part to create a more just world.

Not knowing anyone is one of the biggest sources of anxiety for new college students. Here are some hints to make the transition to a new friend group an easy one.
It’s not easy to choose what you’re going to study for the next few years, and that’s okay!
