- About
The Rockhurst University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program has locked-in tuition rates for each incoming class. The tuition rate approved by the University each year will be guaranteed throughout the cohort's time in the program. The institutional fees and other program costs are estimated to help the student plan accordingly.
Institutional Fees
- University fees
- Student activity fee
- Liability insurance
- Graduation application fees
Other DPT Program-related Expenses
- Course fees
- Books and optional course supplies
- Laptop Computer – Given the need for students to be able to find, analyze and use information, the Department of Physical Therapy Exercise Science requires that all students have a laptop computer for use throughout the DPT curriculum. The computer will be used during lecture and laboratory sessions on campus as well as online courses that run concurrently with full-time clinical internships. We do not require a specific brand of computer for these studies. Requirements are subject to change. It is the applicant's responsibility to contact the Office of Graduate Admission or the Department of Physical Therapy and Exercise Science to inquire if there are changes before submitting an application through PTCAS.
- Parking fees
- AHA Basic Life Support
- Physical exam and immunizations for clinical education
- Graduation regalia (cap and gown)
Cost for Class of 2025
For the cohort of students entering the DPT program in May 2023 and graduating in December 2025, the total program cost will be an estimated $101,824. This does not include housing and living-related expenses, travel and housing during clinical education, and technology expenses (laptop required).
2022-2023 DPT Student Financial Fact Sheet
The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education requires all Doctor of Physical Therapy programs to provide the public with current, accurate, reliable and easily available information about the cost of attendance. All DPT programs must post the below fact sheet about the cost of attendance for the cohort who graduates during the 2022-23 academic year.
Cost for Early Assurance Entry Point
For the students entering the DPT program through the Early Assurance Entry Point, students will pay undergraduate tuition rates for Semesters 1-6 of the undergraduate Exercise Science Degree. The tuition rate for Semesters 7 and 8 (students are still classified as undergraduate seniors, but enrolled in "dual credit" DPT graduate courses that count as undergraduate electives to fulfill the 128 credit hours) has yet to be determined.
