Welcome to Rockhurst! Transfer students are automatically considered for these scholarships when you apply for admission.

Merit-based Scholarships

Merit-based Rockhurst scholarships reward transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and higher. You must be a full-time student with high academic standing to be eligible to receive renewable academic scholarships.

Awards may be renewable based on specific criteria. Find out which scholarships you are eligible for!

Transfers: Additional Scholarships & Awards

Phi Theta Kappa
$24,000 Awarded to transferring students with proof of membership. This supersedes any other scholarship you receive from Rockhurst.    
Hummel Scholarship
Up to $30,000 Awarded to eligible entering students. Find out more.    
Distinguished Scholarship
$19,500 Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher.    
Founder's Scholarship
$15,400 Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.59.    
Endeavor Scholarship
$11,300 Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.6-2.99.    
Finucane Service Award
$1,500 Awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding service. Limited number awarded. Service resume and essay required. Online application information here.    
Family Award
$1,000 Awarded to each undergraduate, dependent student in the family currently attending Rockhurst.    
Veteran Award
$1,000 Awarded to transferring students who are U.S. military veterans.    
Transfer Advantage
$500 Awarded to transferring students from eligible community colleges.    
Ignatious of Loyola Award
Variable Awarded to selected students who demonstrate financial need and who meet the Rockhurst financial aid guidelines.    
Fine and Performing Arts Award
Variable Entering freshmen or transfer students who audition, interview or submit portfolios. Find out more.    

Athletic Awards**

Awarded by the Rockhurst University athletic department, athletic scholarships are based on athletic ability. Scholarship amounts vary up to full tuition, room and board. Contact 816-501-4141 for more information.

** Offers of athletic aid will be coordinated with other institutional aid to meet NCAA equivalency requirements. Aid packages may have to be reevaluated.

Rockhurst University has the right to evaluate institutional financial aid packages. The total institutional award from RU may not exceed the cost of tuition. Students can receive more than one scholarship, but never both competitive and academic scholarships.
