Program Description
Rockhurst University’s Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication degree is one-of-a-kind. You won’t find another communications degree in Kansas City, or at any other major university for that matter, like it. This is a unique, interdisciplinary experience across two colleges within RU and across two disciplines integrated into one impactful major.
Students take courses in both communication and business, focusing on interpersonal and organizational communication, media, public speaking and beyond.
You’ll learn effective communication skills that you can use and share with others to enhance communication in the workplace.
RU also offers a communications minor and a journalism minor.
What is Business Communication?
Business communication skills are more vital than ever before as the use of technology rises. Business communication is information sharing between employees or publicly for the overall benefit of a company or organization. There are two types of business communication: internal and external. In short, it’s about relationship building internally with employees and externally with customers.
