Looking for a way to make a real impact on campus? Become a Resident Assistant (RA) and help shape your campus community!
Being an RA offers a wide range of personal, professional, and academic benefits. Here are some of the most valuable things you can gain:
Leadership Skills
- You’ll develop strong leadership abilities by managing a floor or building and supporting its residents.
- You’ll build relationships with campus staff, faculty, and other student leaders that open doors to future opportunities.
Professional Development
- Being an RA challenges you to grow in empathy, responsibility, and adaptability.
- You’ll learn to support others while balancing your own academic and personal life.
- RA experience stands out to employers and graduate programs as a sign of maturity, responsibility, and leadership.
Compensation
- All RAs receive full compensation for their housing based on where they live, as well as a meal plan.
- 300 Blocks + 200 Flex Meal Plan ($2,460 per semester) for the Residence Halls
- 120 Block + 500 Flex ($1,625 per semester) for THV, Rock Row, and Kateri
- Second-year RAs and beyond will receive an additional $500 scholarship per semester.
- RAs will all be able to work at the front desk beyond their required four hours per week for additional payment if they choose (regardless of their work-study status).
RA applications open November 3, 2025, and close January 23, 2026.
