Bloch Scholars Program

The Bloch Scholars Program covers tuition and fees to help promising students complete their bachelor’s degree at Rockhurst University. The program is sponsored by the Marion and Henry Bloch Family Foundation and the H&R Block Foundation. When you become a Bloch Scholar at Rockhurst, you will become part of a community focused on helping you succeed.

  • A resident, regardless of immigration status, of the greater Kansas City area: Jackson, Clay and Platte counties in Missouri, and Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas
  • Demonstrate financial need: $12,000 or less in expected family contribution (EFC) as determined by the FAFSA or Financial Aid Estimator
  • Academically promising but not necessarily considered for traditional scholarships due to past academic performance or life circumstances
  • Preference will be given to current Bloch Scholars and other students transferring from Donnelly College or Metropolitan Community College

  • The scholarship is renewable through completion of your undergraduate degree at Rockhurst University
  • Have your tuition and related fees paid for, clearing a major hurdle to a college education
  • Earn your bachelor’s degree — no matter the major — at Rockhurst University, a Jesuit institution recognized as the highest-ranked regional institution in the Kansas City area
  • Receive personalized support from Rockhurst’s student success staff to ensure you stay on track and on time to complete your degree
