
The Rockhurst University educator preparation programs are accredited on the state level by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
The 2020 review and this accreditation cover the following initial teacher preparation programs: Elementary Education (1-6), Special Education in Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical Disabilities (K-12), Secondary English (9-12), Secondary Mathematics (9-12), Secondary Chemistry (9-12), Secondary Biology (9-12), Spanish (K-12), and Secondary Social Science (9-12).

DESE
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) requires a yearly report from all teacher education programs called the Annual Performance Report for Educator Preparation Programs (APR-EPP). This system of accountability provides information for certification, accreditation, and for teacher preparation programs to use for continuous improvement.
