RU's Dual Enrollment Program overview
Rockhurst University’s Dual Enrollment Program offers current high school students the opportunity to take college courses taught by Rockhurst University faculty and earn college credit while completing their high school education. Most Dual Enrollment courses are offered asynchronously online, allowing students to complete coursework on their own schedule, with a few on-campus experiences throughout the semester. These on-campus experiences give students an opportunity to visit Rockhurst, experience a college environment, and engage with university faculty and resources.
Participation in the RU Dual Enrollment Program is available to students whose high schools have previously arranged for their students to participate in specific courses. Course availability and eligibility may vary by high school.
Dual Enrollment courses are equivalent to introductory college courses and are offered at a significantly reduced cost compared with standard undergraduate tuition. Students can earn college credit while getting a head start on their college coursework, with credits that may be transferable to other colleges and universities. Students should consult the institution they plan to attend regarding transferability of credits.
For more information about the RU Dual Enrollment Program, contact your high school’s designated Dual Enrollment contact or the Rockhurst University Dual Enrollment Coordinator.
