Rockhurst Receives Presidents’ Award For Academic Excellence For 15th Consecutive Year

Rockhurst University has received the NCAA Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence for achieving four-year Academic Success Rates of 90% or higher for the 15th consecutive year.
Forty-three Division II member schools are recipients of the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence. Rockhurst is one of seven schools to have earned the recognition every year since the award was started in 2011.
Rockhurst finished with a 92% ASR in 2024-25, which ranks in a tie for 17th among all NCAA Division II institutions. Rockhurst led the Great Lakes Valley Conference and all Division II schools in Missouri and Kansas. Academic Success Rate measures the number of NCAA Division II student-athletes who graduate. It includes transfers into a school in the calculation and removes those who transferred out of the school while academically eligible.
"To have this continued academic success is an impressive accomplishment. I attribute our success to the diligent hard work and dedication of our student-athletes," said Kristy Bayer, director of athletics. "I also appreciate the all-hands-on-deck approach that is taken at Rockhurst. This includes our amazing faculty, invested coaches and athletic staff, and all members of campus who dedicate their time and energies to our academic success.
"Rockhurst has a strong reputation for competitive athletics and strong academics. We are honored to proudly claim another NCAA D-II Presidential Award for Academic Excellence nod. This is in line with what we represent."
