Three Undergraduate Business Programs Earn National Recognition from U.S. News

Three undergraduate business programs earned recognition in the top 30 of all such programs in the nation in the U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges 2027 list.
The programs — analytics, management and marketing — have all been ranked previously. But this year’s list marks a return for all three to the Top 30. In the Best Colleges 2027 rankings, analytics was No. 27 on its list, management was No. 24, and marketing was No. 28 measured against their peers in the U.S. The overall undergraduate business program moved up 57 spots from the year before, now ranked among the top half of all business programs nationally.
“Across our undergraduate programs, we value student-centered instruction, real-world problem-solving and an emphasis on what we call durable skills like critical thinking and communication,” said Myles Gartland, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business and Technology. “These are not just the qualities employers consistently say they are looking for. They are at the core of our Jesuit identity, and I believe that makes Rockhurst University a premier destination for undergraduate business education.”
Overall, the University was ranked No. 11 on both the list of Midwest Regional Universities and Private Colleges in the Midwest Region. Rockhurst was also recognized among the best values among Midwest Regional Universities and one of the Best Colleges for Veterans in the Midwest Region.
The honors follow a summer in which the University was recognized as one of the Colleges of Distinction across the country and earned national accolades from TIME Magazine in its list of America’s Best Colleges. In addition, the University welcomed a freshman class in fall 2026 that boasts what is one of the highest-ever average GPAs as 3.8, as well as a fall-over-fall freshman retention rate of 87%.
