Italian Business & Entrepreneurship: Bologna, Italy
May 10-20, 2027
For: Business students
Exploring the economy, culture, and communities.
Spend 11 days in Bologna, one of Europe’s oldest university cities, and see how Italian businesses blend tradition, creativity and community. Rockhurst University is offering this program with the Spring Hill College Italy Center.
You’ll look at Italian business up close in five industries that define the region: motor, fashion, food, tourism and sports management. You’ll visit Bologna Business School, hear from faculty in the University of Bologna’s Department of Economics and Finance, and tour the university’s Rimini campus to learn about its tourism, economics and management master’s programs. A visit to COpAPS, a social and agricultural cooperative, shows how business can serve the wider community.
Day trips to Modena, Parma and Rimini take you beyond Bologna into the heart of Emilia-Romagna. Group lunches with local partners, plus a welcome and farewell lunch, give you time to connect with classmates and the people you meet along the way. You’ll also have a free day and some open afternoons to explore the city on your own.
Students will stay at Combo Bologna, close to the city center. Daily breakfast is included, and the SHC Italy Center staff will help you settle in when you arrive.
