
The Still Scholars Early Assurance Program is designed to provide admission opportunities to outstanding students who aspire to become doctors of dental medicine (DMD) at A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH). Students accepted into the Still Scholars program are exempt from taking the DAT.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for the Still Scholars program, the following requirements must be met:
- Obtain a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA and a minimum 3.4 science GPA by the time of application.
- At least 27 semester hours of prerequisite coursework, along with one additional hard science course, must be completed by August 1 after the sophomore year.
- Students must receive a grade of B or higher in all prerequisite coursework. See required pre-requisite courses here.
- All college courses that meet prerequisites must be taken after high school graduation except for the eligible English advanced standing credit
- A minimum of four semesters (or 45 semester credit hours or equivalent) completed by the end of the second/sophomore year of college
- Two years of full-time coursework remaining before graduation with a BS or BA degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution
- Completion of a minimum of 50 hours of dental clinical experience (shadowing, paid, or volunteer clinical experience in dentistry)
- Completion of a minimum of 50 hands-on community service hours in an underserved area (not fundraising)
- The student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Still Scholars Early Assurance Program Timeline
- Fall of sophomore year: If you are interested in applying for the program, identify yourself to Annie Lee, Ph.D., annie.lee@rockhurst.edu, or Laura Salem, Ph.D., laura.salem@rockhurst.edu. Current Rockhurst students may apply to the program during the summer between their sophomore and junior years.
- March: Application opens
- August 1: Application deadline — all supporting documents must be postmarked by this date.
- Early fall: Interview offers extended
- Early fall: Interviews take place
- Late fall: admission offers released
