Research & Creative Experiences

The research proves it: Student success starts with great experiences.

Undergraduate Research

Unlike many universities, Rockhurst offers substantial research opportunities to undergraduate students.

Rockhurst University biochemistry major Paige Carroll (’21) talks about the benefits of RU’s undergraduate research and how it increases her chances of getting into medical school or eventually getting a job in the health care or science field. Here, Paige works with flies as part of a genetic mapping project of lethal mutations she started as a freshman.

Festival of Student Achievement

“FOSA” recognizes and celebrates students, staff and faculty who exemplify academic excellence and leadership through student research or creative performance.

Rockhurst's got talent. Explore the many opportunities to express yourself and engage in creative activities.

Hands-On Projects

Doing is understanding, which makes experiential learning essential to student success.

Students apply their learning to hands-on projects on campus and in the community. Project-based learning connects lessons learned in class to real life, preparing students for their careers after graduation.

Undergraduate Research and Creativity Academy

A college education should be an active experience. Get connected to opportunities for cutting-edge research, practicing your craft or art, and building a strong portfolio of real-world experience while at RU.
