
Qualified Rockhurst students can apply for early acceptance to LECOM’s College of Osteopathic Medicine for their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. Students can apply to the LECOM Early Acceptance Program (EAP) as high school seniors or as enrolled Rockhurst students during their freshman, sophomore or junior year.
Upon completing four years of undergraduate study and meeting certain GPA and other requirements, students enter LECOM the following July. The LECOM phase of this program may be completed in Erie, PA, Greensburg, PA, Elmira, NY or in Bradenton, FL.
Students enrolled in the EAP may be exempt from taking the MCAT. An AACOMAS application will not be required.
Admission Requirements
To be considered for the LECOM EAP, the following requirements must be met:
- High school-level applicants: 3.5 unweighted GPA or higher
- College-level applicants: 3.4 cumulative GPA and a 3.3 science GPA
Admission Process
Students may apply for the EAP as high school seniors or as enrolled Rockhurst students during their freshman, sophomore or junior year. The application is open annually from May 1 to April 1.
- Apply to Rockhurst University (high school seniors only).
- Apply through the LECOM application portal for the appropriate program.
- Submit the application and all required documents.
- After you submit your application, LECOM will review it. Qualified applicants will be invited to a virtual information session.
- After the information session, LECOM may send a link for your own personal interview.
- Once all application documents are submitted and the information session and interview are complete, your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee.
