Rockhurst University’s College of Business and Technology has earned extended accreditation from the AACSB International, one of the most widely recognized and prestigious accreditations for schools of business worldwide.

Rockhurst University and Saint Louis University have named a program director to guide a new Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program expected to launch in 2028 as a partnership between the two institutions.
Nicholas Curdt, DNAP, CRNA, CHSE, will lead the program, design its curriculum and guide it as it undergoes the accreditation process. Curdt will also serve as a point of contact for interested prospective students for what promises to be a high-demand program.

Joanna Cielocha, Ph.D., associate professor of biology, has received a $206,112 Mid-Career Advancement grant from the National Science Foundation to study parasites known as gregarines, which infect grasshoppers, in the American West to broaden the understanding of the gregarine diversity and distribution.

Rockhurst University will receive $1.031 million in federal Community Project Funding to help build new programs and facilities to educate future generations of tech and AI leaders in the Kansas City region.

Rockhurst University’s online graduate business analytics and management MBA programs have earned recognition from U.S. News and World Reports as among the nation’s best.

Rockhurst University sponsors solidarity immersion trips both in the United States and abroad several times a year, giving students the opportunity to experience the world beyond campus or their home communities. Though service is a component of the trip, the students also learn about the perspectives and the people in the locations they travel to.

Rockhurst University has announced the dean’s list for the fall 2025 semester. This honor recognizes students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

Rockhurst University’s newest graduate degree is the Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Although he lives in Boise, Idaho, and wasn’t familiar with Rockhurst University, Ted Marconi, ’26 Ed.D., said that when he started to look for a doctoral program he knew he had found the right one when he encountered Rockhurst.

Recognizing ongoing efforts to meaningfully partner with neighbors and serve beyond its campus walls, Rockhurst University has earned the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement from the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
