Rockhurst University Introduces Displaced Federal Worker Tuition Discount

Recognizing a need to provide opportunities for those affected by ongoing reductions in force at federal agencies, Rockhurst University officials have announced a new tuition discount program designed to provide retraining and educational opportunities for recently displaced members of the U.S. federal workforce.
The Rockhurst University Displaced Federal Worker Tuition Discount will give qualified applicants who are former members of the federal workforce a 10% savings on tuition for a select number of graduate degree programs in business, health and education at Rockhurst University.
Applications for the discount must be submitted within 18 months of the employee’s final day of employment.
The discount can be applied toward tuition in any of these programs:
- Master of Business Administration
- Executive Master of Business Administration
- Master of Arts in Organizational Management
- Master of Science in Data Analytics
- Master of Education
- Occupational Therapy Doctorate
- Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology
- Graduate business, Medical Spanish and Justice, Belonging, and Community Change certificate programs
“Ongoing reductions in the federal workforce could have a uniquely significant impact on the Kansas City region,” said Sandra Cassady, Ph.D., Rockhurst University president. “By offering this discount, we are hoping to relieve some of the economic pressure and provide those who have been let go the opportunity to pursue the next chapter in their career, whether that be in their existing expertise or an entirely new direction.”
