- About
It's not just an MBA. It's a Helzberg MBA.
Rockhurst University's Helzberg School of Management is the only private institution in Kansas City to earn the prestigious AACSB accreditation.
Learn how you can earn a degree - and a career - that stands above others.
When will my classes meet?
Classes meet once per week from 5:45 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Most students attend class two evenings per week.
How is the program structured?
Five, eight-week terms are offered during the year.
How long will it take to earn my MBA?
Most students enroll part-time, completing their MBA in about two years. We also offer an accelerated option that takes one year.
When can I start?
Rockhurst offers five different entry points: January, March, June, August or October.
Our upcoming terms begin October 18th (Fall B term), January 8th (Spring A term), March 12th (Spring B term), and May 29th (Summer term). We encourage you to have a complete admission file 3 weeks prior to your intended start date.
Does Helzberg School require the GMAT or GRE?
Like all AACSB accredited business schools, we do require the GMAT. GRE scores are also accepted. A GMAT waiver petition may be submitted for those who hold a terminal degree, master’s degree or professional certification, or those with at least 3 years of professional full-time work experience demonstrating career progression.
How many credit hours will I need?
30 hours are required for the General MBA program. More hours are required if prerequisites are needed, and if you are wanting to pursue a concentration.
Where will my classes take place?
Most classes are held in historic Conway Hall, which was renovated to offer the latest technology for teaching and learning.
What are my concentration options?
The concentration areas include accounting, business intelligence, data science, finance, health care management, international business, management, entrepreneurship, fundraising leadership, human capital, organizational development, and nonprofit administration. Learn more about the concentrations.
Do you offer assistance with job or internship placements?
As a Helzberg student, you'll have access to our vast network of alumni leaders, as well as an adviser who will work with you to help secure the job or internship you're looking for. The Rockhurst University career services office will also be at your disposal.
How much will it cost me?
The total cost of the 30-hour Helzberg MBA program is $21,300 for the 2017-2018 academic year. Cost does not include possible prerequisite requirements.
