Protika Bhattacharjee, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of economics in the Helzberg School of Management. She earned her Bachelor's degree in economics from India and then moved to the U.S. in 2016 and completed both her master's and Ph.D. for the University of New Hampshire. 

She teaches principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, intermediate microeconomics, sustainability and environmental policy, and international trade. Her research areas are environmental, labor, and international economics. Her primary research focuses impacts of poor air quality on different economic outcomes like migration decisions, working hours, and crime in the U.S.
