Biography
Marta Watters, Ph.D., is an undergraduate academic advisor for the College of Business and Technology. She is committed to supporting students as they navigate their academic and professional goals, drawing on experience in teaching, writing support, and academic mentorship. Marta has worked closely with students from diverse academic backgrounds and educational journeys.
In addition to advising, Marta’s research explores early modern Northern European art history, with particular focus on the Low Countries. She is especially interested in human, animal, material, and spatial bodies and their fluid manifestations across visual and material culture. Her work also engages with still life painting, the history of science, and animal studies.
Before joining Rockhurst, Marta held roles as an instructor and a Writing Fellow and Graduate Administrator at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
