In her current role as Associate Professor at Rockhurst University, Dr. Joan Ziegler Delahunt teaches courses in the areas of foundational clinical skills, adult neurorehabilitation, and supports pediatric assessment and intervention content. She is the chair of the OTD Admissions committee and a member of the Sabbatical Leave committee.

Since 1998, Delahunt has served as an occupational therapist with children and families. In her current collaborative role with Operation Breakthrough, Delahunt supports young children in participating in daily meaningful activities, provides education to staff, and supervises a variety of health professions students.

Delahunt's scholarly endeavors focus on engagement in meaningful occupations to improve health and well-being, and she shares her work through presentations and in scholarly journals.
