Katherine Nicolai, Ph.D., joined the psychology department in 1995 after completing her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Iowa State University. Her teaching and research interests include sexual attitudes and behavior, beliefs about psychopathy and mental illness, as well as helping non-scientists understand and think critically about social science research. Outside of work, Nicolai enjoys science fiction, road trips, 80s music and spending quality time with her family.
