To apply to the Rockhurst Master of Science in CSD program or the Post Bachelor Leveling Program for CSD, students must complete an online application. Current Rockhurst University students must apply through the RU Students Application form, and graduates from other colleges and universities must apply through the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS).
Application steps:

If applying through the CSDCAS:

Send official transcripts directly to CSDCAS from all colleges and universities attended. No paper transcripts will be accepted.
Submit your completed written essay directly to CSDCAS. -
Submit three references to CSDCAS. No paper references will be accepted.

For current Rockhurst University students and alumni applying through the RU Student Application

Submit your completed written essay directly through the application.

Submit three references directly through the application.

Submit official transcripts from every college or university you attended after graduating from Rockhurst University.

International students applying from a non-English speaking country: Submit a TOEFL score of at least 79 (internet based) directly to Rockhurst University. CSDCAS does NOT accept official TOEFL scores.

A personal interview with the CSD faculty may be required.

Applicants must have their application verified with GPA calculated by the February 15, 2023 deadline. Applicants must be completed, e-submitted, payment received, references and transcripts received, at least four weeks in advance of the deadline to ensure the application is verified on time. Applicants whom are not verified will not be considered for admission.
Application and Prerequisite requirements:

Complete an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited college or university, or an undergraduate degree in another discipline plus appropriate leveling coursework in communication sciences and disorders that prepare students for entry into the Master of Science program. Undergraduate preparation must consist of at least 36 semester credit hours and reflect a well integrated program.

Achieve a required minimum overall grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a 3.00 or higher in the undergraduate major.

Demonstrate the ability to fulfill the Essential Functions of the Speech Language Pathology profession.

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and appropriate interpersonal skills.

Complete the prerequisite courses in biological, physical, and behavioral sciences and statistics as required by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, ASHA, for application for certification.
Admission to the graduate CSD program is determined by a faculty admission committee.

- The 2022-2023 CSDCAS application cycle is now open.
- Deadline to submit application is February 15, 2023.
Students must submit all required materials directly to CSDCAS and must follow guidelines found on the csdcas.org website.
