ADV ACCP

ADV ACCP is a dual credit course allowing the student to come to the RU campus and be a part of lower-level Rockhurst courses with other RU students, or in an online course if they prefer.

Student Eligibility
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 unweighted scale, or parent/legal guardian permission if the cumulative GPA is between 2.50 and 2.99, and be recommended by the high school to participate in the program.

Students can only register if the high school has previously made arrangements for receiving credit both on the high school level and from Rockhurst. If the school does not currently have a partnership with Rockhurst, one can be established through Bailee Gilmore at bailee.gilmore@rockhurst.edu.

Advantages of ADV ACCP
Earning college credit in high school allows you more schedule flexibility at the college you ultimately attend:

1.Taking advanced credit courses in high school, which are equivalent to introductory college courses, allows you to pursue higher-level courses sooner, particularly in areas of interest.

2.Completing enough advanced credit coursework can accelerate the degree program and save on tuition.

3.Completing advanced credit course work will allow you to "ease" into the college transition by taking a slightly reduced course load during your first year.

Transferability of ADV ACCP Credit
ADV ACCP courses are transferable to most colleges and universities. Contact the college you plan to attend or consult the college catalog to determine the school's transfer policy.

Enrollment for the Fall 2021 semester begins in April 2021. Students can sign up for any 1000 level course being offered at Rockhurst in the fall, spring, or summer term. Courses are offered on a first come, first serve basis. At the time of enrollment students are expected to complete an application/registration form, and make a tuition payment. If you have questions about enrollment, please contact Bailee Gilmore.

Cost
The cost per credit hour is $160.00. A three-hour course is $480.00. All first-time students are charged a one-time, non-refundable matriculation fee of $60.00.

In addition to the one-time matriculation fee (if applicable), tuition must be paid before courses start. For the fall semester, classes must be fully paid by August 27 or the student will be removed from the course.
