Women's Soccer: Hawks face Bellarmine in NCAA Tournament

Rockhurst suffered a 3-0 loss to Bellarmine in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night in Highland Heights, Ky. Bellarmine led 1-0 at halftime and scored two more goals late in the second half. The Hawks finish the season with a 12-5-2 record, while Bellarmine advances to a second-round date with Northern Kentucky.
The Hawks outshot the Knights 13-8. Freshman Caroline Brandt led Rockhurst with five shots and two shots on goal. Freshman Taylor Skala added four shots and one shot on goal. Goalkeeper Lucy Sullivan made one save.
Rockhurst last played in the NCAA Tournament in 2008, falling to Northern Kentucky in a first-round game in Somers, Wis.
