Volleyball: Hawks hold off Drury, 3-1
Emily Ready posted 14 kills and eight blocks with a .500 hitting percentage to lead Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory over Drury on Saturday at RU’s Mason-Halpin Field House.
Rockhurst, 23-6 overall, won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-14. The Hawks dropped the third set before closing out the match with a 26-24 win. The Hawks are second
in the GVLC West with an 11-4 record.
Katie Loescher and Kelsey Stratman combined for 19 kills and five blocks. Whitney Kostal posted 43 assists and 11 digs. Victoria Mahl finished with a team-high 14 digs.
On Friday, Ready collected 12 kills and five blocks to power the Hawks to a 3-0 victory over Missouri S&T at Mason-Halpin. Rockhurst won the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-19. The Hawks closed out the match with a 25-15 win.
Stratman collected 10 kills and three blocks. Loescher added eight kills. Kostal posted 34 assists. Mahl and Alyssa Arnold combined for 36 digs.
