Volleyball: Hawks post 3-1 win at Jewell

Maggie Hummel collected 12 kills and six blocks to lead Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory at William Jewell Tuesday night in Liberty, Mo. The Hawks dropped the first set 25-20 and then won the next three sets, 25-15, 25-14 and 25-16.

Kelsey Stratman finished with 10 kills and eight blocks. Emily Ready totaled nine kills and six blocks. Alyssa Arnold added nine kills and five blocks. Katie Loescher also had nine kills. Whitney Kostal posted 44 assists and Victoria Mahl had a team-high 30 digs.

The Hawks, 21-6 overall and second in the GLVC West at 10-4, host GLVC West leader Missouri S&T on Friday at 7 p.m.
