RU Haunted
Rockhurst University will soon be the meeting ground for ghouls, ghosts and gravity for two big Halloween events
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, The University’s Department of Math and Physics will team with the Theater Department for the first time to create a fun night of frights and physics when they present "RU Haunted?." A theatrical tour guide will lead visitors through the catacombs of Sedgwick Hall with time to enjoy and learn from a variety of interactive physics projects, including the haunted ER, brought to you by the physics of medicine students. More than 150 physics, engineering and theater students will lend their expertise to the spooky adventure. The catacombs will be open to the public from 6 to 8 p.m., with tours starting in Mabee Theater. Sedgwick Hall is located on the Rockhurst University campus, 54th Street and Troost Avenue.

Families looking for a safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating need only make it to campus. On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the Rockhurst University Community Center will once again be transformed into a family-friendly haunted house filled with costumes, games and, most importantly, candy. The Safe Trick-or-Treat will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Rockhurst University Community Center, 5401 Troost Ave. The event is free to children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
