Rockhurst Theater to Showcase the Short Plays of Tennessee Williams
At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 16 and 17, and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18 and 19, Rockhurst University Theater will open its season with three short plays by Tennessee Williams: Hello from Bertha, The Lady of Larkspur Lotion and This Property Is Condemned.
Performed in Mabee Theater inside Sedgwick Hall on the Rockhurst University campus, the plays will highlight some of Williams’ legendary work and the directorial talents of Rockhurst University seniors Bethany Phillips, Devon Whitten, and Eric Morhiser.
Critics and scholars agree that Williams brought a uniqueness of language to modern theater, as well as a multitude of memorable characters that had been beneath the attention of other writers before him.
Tickets are $10 at the door. Parking is free in the North Parking Garage and in campus lots.
