Rockhurst University Appoints Chief Financial Officer
Gerald A. Moench has joined Rockhurst University as chief financial officer effective Sept. 29.
The CFO reports directly to the president, serves on the senior administrative team and provides executive-level vision, leadership, planning and direction for the business affairs of the University. The CFO supervises all business office and related activities, including accounting functions, information technology, financial aid, student accounts, endowment management, and legal and contractual relationships with the University.
Moench comes to Rockhurst from CBIZ/MHM (Century Business Services Inc./Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.) where he most recently served as the senior managing director in South Florida. There, he played a lead role in the combining of the Boca Raton and Miami CBIZ/MHM offices into a singular financial reporting unit. Before the assignment in South Florida, he worked in the Kansas City office of CBIZ/MHM for 10 years where he led the strategy and execution of several companywide initiatives while also building the related financial and administrative back office teams and functions.
Moench received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Northern State University in South Dakota and is a certified public account.
