Media Advisory: Israel’s Ambassador to Vatican City Visits Rockhurst University
Zion Evrony, Ph.D., the ambassador from Israel to Vatican City, will be on the Rockhurst University campus Tuesday, Oct. 8, as part of the University’s Visiting Scholar Lecture Series.

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8: As part of the Visiting Scholar Lecture Series, Evrony will deliver a historic presentation in Rockhurst’s Convocation Center titled “Conversations Between Jerusalem and Rome,” outlining the state of dialogue between Israel and the Holy See and outlining the past and future of that relationship. The lecture is presented in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Bureau/American Jewish Committee.
10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9: Ambassador Evrony will participate in the ceremonial laying of a wreath at the plaque on the Rockhurst campus honoring the Jesuits who perished during the Shoah (Holocaust). Presidents from several area Catholic universities also will be present for the event.
