Women’s Soccer: Hawks ranked No. 19 in Division II poll
Rockhurst moved into the national rankings for this first time this season. The undefeated Hawks are ranked 19th in the NSCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.
The Rockhurst men, 5-0-1, moved up to No. 5 in the nation. Rockhurst is one of only six schools to have both their men and women ranked in the Top 25 Division II polls.
The Hawks, who are third in the NSCAA Division II Midwest Region Poll, have outscored their opponents 14-2 while opening the season with five wins.
Sophomore defender Kasey Lierz leads the team with eight on two goals and four assists. Taylor Skala and Brandi Van Booven share the team lead with three goals scored. Senior goalkeeper Lucy Sullivan has a 0.40 goals against average with three shutouts.
The Hawks, tied for first place in the GLVC with a 4-0 record, play at Missouri-St. Louis on Friday at 5 p.m.
