Rockhurst Tops List of Schools for Graduate Salary, Value
The Rockhurst University experience has always meant a well-rounded Jesuit, liberal arts-based education that encourages students to grow and engage with their community.
But graduating from Rockhurst also may lead to a higher starting salary – another indicator of the outstanding overall value of a Rockhurst education, according to a recent survey by SmartAsset, a New York-based web company that aims to help educate consumers on financial decisions through data analysis.
According to SmartAsset’s analysis of outcomes for institutions across the country, Rockhurst was named the best value among colleges and universities in Missouri, calculated using cost figures and value factors, including retention rates and average starting salary.
Those average starting salaries are among the highest in Missouri, according to SmartAsset. Rockhurst graduates’ average starting salaries lead colleges and universities in the Kansas City area, and are third among all schools in the state of Missouri.
“We are pleased to once again be included in another national ranking. Our mission as an Jesuit institution is to develop leaders who strive to always better understand the world they live in and have a positive impact on the world around them,” said Doug Dunham, Ph.D., Rockhurst vice president for academic affairs. “But another part of preparing students for life after graduation is preparing them for a secure future.”
