Rockhurst University Named to “Colleges of Distinction” List

Rockhurst University is one of seven schools in the state of Missouri named to the national Colleges of Distinction college guide for 2014-2015.

Colleges of Distinction recognizes more than 200 outstanding institutions of higher education across the country in its annual lists, which are used as guides for prospective college students. The schools included on the list are nominated by high-school admissions counselors, college administrative members, and the Colleges of Distinction selection team.

Schools are evaluated based on a number of quantitative and qualitative criteria, but the organization states all institutions included in the Colleges of Distinction guide value and encourage student engagement, have a strong faculty focused on teaching, are vibrant campus communities with plenty of opportunities for student involvement, and prepare graduates well either for postsecondary education or their careers.
