COVID-Related Updates for This Week
Rockhurst Student, Faculty and Staff Companions,
We continue to have low COVID-19 case numbers on our campus as we close out the academic year. If you haven’t already received your vaccination, we encourage you to take advantage of the many options to do so, which can be found in the links below.
COVID Vaccinations
- Please remember to notify the University after you receive the second (or sole in the case of Johnson & Johnson) dose of a COVID vaccination by completing this COVID-19 vaccine form. The information will be used in aggregate to determine how many students and how many employees have been vaccinated.
- There are now numerous locations where you can get vaccinated, some of which now welcome walk-ins. Vaccine availability information for both Missouri and Kansas can be found on the Jackson County website. You can also visit this Kansas City website link to find appointment locations in Kansas City, as well as vaccine safety information.
Important Reminders
- Testing is still a very important tool in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services continues to offer free COVID-19 testing. There are no eligibility requirements for receiving a free test and you do not need to be a Missouri resident. No appointments are required.
- Remember to submit the Illness and Exposure Reporting Form immediately If you find out you are COVID positive, you have COVID symptoms, or have been in close contact with a COVID-positive person. Thank you!
Positive and Quarantined Cases
Overall, our community cases continue to remain very low and stable across all categories and populations. For undergraduate students on both campuses, cases remain low with Troost reporting a slight increase and Westport reporting no cases. There are no graduate student cases to report this week and only one faculty/staff quarantined case on the Troost campus.
