Men's Golf: Fry earns bid to NCAA Regional

Clarke Fry of the Rockhurst University men’s golf team will be making his fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships.

Fry, a senior from Manhattan, Kan., is one of four individuals selected to compete in the 2012 NCAA Midwest/South Central Regional May 7-9 at the Jefferson City Country Club in Jefferson City, Mo.

The top five teams and the top two individuals not with a team from the regional will advance to the finals May 15-19, at The Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky.

Fry led the Hawks with a 74.4 scoring average during the regular season and posted eight top 10 finishes this year, highlighted by a pair of first-place titles. He tied for fifth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament in Paducah, Ky., with a 231 score over 54 holes.
