William Jewell overcame a halftime deficit to post a season-ending 62-48 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night in Liberty, Mo. The Cardinals made 21 of 23 free throws in the second half. Megan Cook led the Hawks with 11 points and two steals. Taylor Skala collected 10 points and three steals. Allson Streich added eight points and six rebounds. The Hawks, 5-21, finished the season with a 2-16 record in the GLVC.
Drury 82, Rockhurst 49 (Feb. 18): The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 39-25 halftime lead. Drury canned 16 of 19 free throws in the second half. Kara McFarland led the Hawks with 13 points and five rebounds. Taylor Skala collected 10 points and three steals. Susan Hohenadel added eight points.
Missouri S&T 69, Rockhurst 44 (Feb. 16): The Lady Miners led 32-18 at halftime and held the Hawks to 24.4 percent shooting in the second half. MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with nine points. Kara McFarland grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Chrissy Sarcone scored six points in her final home game.
Illinois Springfield 77, Rockhurst 57 (Feb, 11): The Hawks could never get closer than eight points in the second half after trailing 42-29 at halftime. Kara McFarland powered the Rockhurst attack with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Taylor Skala posted 10 points and eight steals. MaKayla Grahn collected 10 points and three assists. Allison Streich added nine points and eight rebounds.
Quincy 59, Rockhurst 45 (Feb. 9): Quincy led 28-14 at halftime behind a 16-2 run over the final 10 minutes of the first half. Rockhurst pulled to within four, 35-31, before Quincy went on a 9-2 run. Allison Streich and Taylor Skala combined for 20 points and five steals to lead Rockhurst. MaKayla Grahn added eight points. Kara McFarland posted a team-high seven rebounds.
Maryville 78, Rockhurst 54 (Feb. 4): Maryville ended the first half on a 16-7 run to take a 36-26 halftime lead. Allison Streich led Rockhurst with eight points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Susan Hohenadel added seven points and five rebounds.
Missouri-St. Louis 71, Rockhurst 50 (Feb. 2): The Tritons jumped out to a 32-25 halftime lead and outscored the Hawks by 14 points in the second half. Katye Nash led Rockhurst with nine points on three 3-point field goals in the second half. Rebecca Strobbe added eight points. Kara McFarland posted a team-high nine rebounds.
Rockhurst 54, Avila 53, OT (Jan. 31): MaKayla Grahn sank a short baseline jumper with 1.4 seconds left to give Rockhurst an overtime victory at Avila. The Hawks rallied from six points down late in the second half to force overtime. A 3-point shot by Megan Cook tied the score at 47-all with 12 seconds left in regulation. Grahn led the Hawks with 12 points and five assists. Kara McFarland added eight points and 10 rebounds. Cook scored eight points. Tayla Skala collected five steals and Chrissy Sarcone posted nine rebounds.
Drury 78, Rockhurst 55 (Jan. 28): Drury opened the second half on a 12-1 run and outscored the Hawks 47-25 in the final 20 minutes behind 17-of-30 free-throw shooting. Chrissy Sarcone led the Hawks with 12 points and seven rebounds. Melanie Siscos added nine points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Missouri S&T 68, Rockhurst 54 (Jan. 26): The Lady Miners iced the game at the foul line, hitting 17 of 21 free throws in the second half Chrissy Sarcone led the Hawks with 10 points and five rebounds. Sarcone connected on five of nine field goals. Shelby Geiman added eight points.
Missouri-St. Louis 45, Rockhurst 43 (Jan. 21): The Tritons won the game with two foul shots with four seconds left. Chrissy Sarcone led the Hawks with 11 points and eight rebounds. Kara McFarland added 10 points, four rebounds and two blocked shots.
Maryville 67, Maryville 56 (Jan. 19): The Hawks trailed 35-19 at halftime and fell behind by 18 points in the second half. MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with 11 points and three assists. Chrissy Sarcone and Rebecca Strobbe each scored 10 points. Allison Streich added a team-high 10 rebounds.

Rockhurst 63, Southern Indiana 47 (Jan. 14): Chrissy Sarcone scored 17 points on eight-of-11 shooting to lead Rockhurst. The Hawks went on a 13-0 run down the stretch to take a 56-41 lead with 3:31 left in the game. Rockhurst shot 50 percent from the field in the second half. MaKayla Grahn collected 15 points and eight rebounds. Allison Streich added 10 points and six rebounds.
Kentucky Wesleyan 76, Rockhurst 72 (Jan. 12): The Panthers hit a 3-pointer with 25 seconds left to take the lead and added a pair of free throws with three seconds on the clock. Chrissy Sarcone led the Hawks with 18 points and eight rebounds. MaKayla Grahn scored all 17 of her points in the first half to give the Hawks a 44-36 halftime lead. Megan Cook added 11 points and five rebounds.
Northern Kentucky 52, Rockhurst 47 (Jan. 7): The Norse broke a 42-all tie by outscoring Rockhurst 9-2 over a six-minute span. Allison Streich led the Hawks with 12 points and 10 rebounds. MaKayla Grahn added nine points and three assists. Chrissy Sarcone and Melanie Siscos scored eight points each. Kara McFarland posted eight rebounds.
Rockhurst 57, Bellarmine (Jan. 5): Chrissy Sarcone hit a layup with one second left to lift Rockhurst to victory at Bellarmine. MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with 13 points, four steals and three assists. Kara McFarland posted 12 points, four rebounds and three blocks. Allison Streich added six points and seven rebounds. The win broke a 20-game conference losing streak for Rockhurst.
Rockhurst 59, Harris-Stowe 44 (Dec. 10): Taylor Skala scored 12 points to lead Rockhurst. Chrissy Sarcone collected nine points and seven rebounds. Allison Streich posted eight points and six rebounds. MaKayla Grahn added eight points and three assists.
Quincy 56, Rockhurst 47, OT (Dec. 3): Quincy outscored Rockhurst 14-5 in overtime after going on a 9-2 run in the final nine minutes in the second half. Taylor Skala posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 steals. Christina Bayliss led Rockhurst with 12 points. MaKayla Grahn finished with 11 points and three steals. Kara McFarland added seven points and seven rebounds.
Illinois Springfield 70, Rockhurst 68, OT (Dec. 1): The Hawks went on a 16-0 run to tie the game at 50-all with 6:43 left and led 62-59 in the final minute in regulation. MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with 22 points. Christina Bayliss came off the bench to score 12 points and collect four assists. Kara McFarland grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Allison Streich posted nine points and nine rebounds. Chrissy Sarcone added with eight points and seven rebounds.
Rockhurst 83, Harris-Stowe 48 (Nov. 28): The victory snapped a 21-game losing streak dating back to a win at home over William Jewell on Dec. 6, 2010. Junior forward Kara McFarland led the Hawks with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Chrissy Sarcone finished with 14 points and five rebounds. Megan Cook added 11 points.
Truman State 62, Rockhurst 46 (Nov. 26): The Bulldogs, who were held to 32.8 percent shooting from the field, made 15 of 18 free throws. Rockhurst was nine-of-16 at the foul line. Kara McFarland and MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with eight points apiece. Melanie Siscos pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Allison Streich added four steals.
Missouri Western 57, Rockhurst 50 (Nov. 22): Missouri Western outscored Rockhurst 13-6 in the final seven minutes. Allison Streich led the Hawks with 10 points, six rebounds and two steals. Chrissy Sarcone finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Kara McFarland added seven points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Emporia State 71, Rockhurst 50 (Nov. 15): Chrissy Sarcone led the Hawks with 10 points and five rebounds. Kara McFarland, Megan Cook and MaKayla Grahn finished with eight points apiece. McFarland posted six rebounds and Grahn collected four assists.
