Please join us in the Greenlease Library for a free discussion of the novel “Washington Black,” written by Esi Edugyan (2018) and facilitated by Paul Scott, Ph.D., Rockhurst University professor of psychology. This novel begins in the 1830s in Barbados on a plantation, and tells the story of Washington “Wash” Black, born into slavery, and his adventures as he meditates upon the complexities of race, relationships, science, and art.
