Visiting Scholar Lecture Series: Woody Holton, "The Hidden History of the American Revolution"

Thursday, November 17, 2022 - 7:30pm
Arrupe Hall auditorium

The story of the American Revolution told through the eyes of an array of famous “Founding Fathers” is familiar to us all. But how does the story change when told from the perspectives of ordinary Americans and the voices of those who are often unheard? Woody Holton, McCausland Professor of History at the University of South Carolina and winner of both Bancroft and Guggenheim Awards, will shine a light on an array of lesser-known characters from the Revolutionary age whose influence and perspectives will broaden our understanding of the Nation’s creation. A book signing and reception follows the talk. Please register here.
