Mass of the Holy Spirit

It is tradition that all Jesuit educational institutions begin the academic year with a Mass of the Holy Spirit, at which we thank God for God’s many gifts, recognize God laboring alongside us, and recommit ourselves to the Ignatian-inspired core values that animate and guide our university.  The Mass of the Holy Spirit is set for Tuesday, September 12th at 10:45am.  This tradition, which dates to the year 1548, is the one time of the year when the President releases classes (10:30am – 12:30pm) to enable members of the campus community to participate in the following: 

10:45am: Mass at the Bell Tower/Pergola 

11:45am: Picnic on the Kinerk Commons
