Foreign Language Film Series: "Pan's Labryinth," ("El laberinto del fauno") (2006)

This film, written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, is about a girl named Ofelia who lives in Spain during World War II and is fascinated by fairy tales. Ofelia and her mother travel to meet and live with her new stepfather, a captain of the Spanish army. In the middle of the night she meets a fairy who takes her to a faun in the center of a maze who gives her tasks in order to see her father again. What is real and what is imagined? Robert Vigliotti, Ph.D., Rockhurst University associate professor of philosophy hosts the series.
