Wear jeans. Support rape survivors. Educate others.

This April 26th is Denim Day, an annual campaign in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The start of the Denim Day campaign was after a Supreme Court ruling in Italy that overturned a rape conviction. The justices' reasoning for overturning the case was the victim’s jeans were too tight, and since she must have helped the individual who raped her remove the jeans there was implied consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim. In response to this event, Denim Day was created and is now the longest-running sexual violence prevention and education campaign in history.

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, let’s wear jeans with purpose and advocate for survivors, educate more people about consent, heal our community, and work towards a world without violence! Pledge $5 in support of sexual assault survivors, with all proceeds going to Rose Brooks Center, a domestic violence agency that supports survivors of intimate partner sexual violence every day.

Thank you for choosing to stand with sexual assault survivors and supporting Rose Brooks Center this Denim Day.
