Think of the best thing you’ve ever eaten. Can you almost taste it right now? What exactly gave that perfect food the taste you crave? Well, there’s actually a science to that flavor and Dr. Arielle Johnson has dedicated her life to studying it and perfecting it. With a Ph.D. from University of California at Davis specializing in flavor perception and analytical chemistry, Johnson has become a world-renowned expert and advisor to the culinary stars. She’s an in-house scientist at Noma Restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark—voted the world’s best restaurant five out of the past dozen years—and the chief science officer for Alton Brown’s “Good Eats” on the Food Network. She’s an educator, a widely published author and the world’s foremost authority on fermentation. And she’s coming to Rockhurst! Don’t miss the interactive talk, complete with flavor samples! Copies of Johnson's book, "Flavorama" will be available for sale at the reception event following the talk. Register here
