Film Series with the RU Philosophy Department: "Beasts of the Southern Wild"

This fantasy-drama is directed, co-written and co-scored by Benh Zeitlin and adapted from Zeitlin and Lucy Alibar’s one-act play “Juicy and Delicious.” Six-year-old Hushpuppy and her ailing father Wink live in a small community on an island in the bayou of Louisiana called the “Bathtub.” Rising waters and environmental collapse threaten the community and send Hushpuppy on an adventure in search of her mother. Robert Vigliotti, Ph.D., Rockhurst University Rockhurst associate professor of philosophy will introduce this film and lead a discussion following the screening. Register here!
