Film Series: "Contact"

Please join us for our spring film series for a free screening of “Contact” (1997), hosted by Robert Vigliotti, Ph.D., Rockhurst University associate professor of philosophy. Based on a novel written by Carl Sagan, this is a science-fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis is about researcher Dr. Ellie Arroway, (played by Jodie Foster) a scientist, who after years of searching for extra-terrestrial life, finds proof of existence and is selected to make the first contact. Brendan Sweetman, Ph.D., Rockhurst University professor of philosophy will introduce this film and lead a discussion following the screening. Register here to reserve a seat.
